Where Is Football has always been driven by the belief that the world’s most popular sport is a force for good and a force for change.
Over the past 15 years, we have explored this game’s capacity to bring people together, shape communities, and drive meaningful social impact around the globe.
From grassroots pitches to World Cups, we have documented how football uplifts, inspires, and tackles some of society’s most pressing challenges. We have seen it serve as a bridge between cultures, a tool for education, and a catalyst for social progress.
These stories have reinforced our belief in football’s vast cultural power and its promise to offer healing to an increasingly divided and uncertain world.
We are proud to deepen our commitment to that promise by joining Football for the Goals, a United Nations initiative that mobilizes the global football community in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This collaboration isn’t just about pledging support — it’s about action. We will continue to showcase football’s role in building a more sustainable and equitable world, telling the stories of fellow members — confederations, national associations, leagues, clubs, and organizations — who are leading the way in using the game to tackle global challenges.
Beyond storytelling, we are committed to creating impact-driven projects of our own. We will work directly with members to develop programs and initiatives that tackle the SDGs and address environmental responsibility, social inclusion, gender inequality, and so much more.
Through these efforts, we aim to make football not just a platform for advocacy, but a driver of measurable change — uniting people across borders, empowering marginalized communities, and expanding access to life-changing work worldwide.
If you’re driving change through football — whether through a project, a local initiative, or a bold idea — we want to hear from you.
This is a movement, and like football itself, it thrives when more people are involved.
So, let’s build something together. You can contact us at here@whereisfootball.com to get involved.
